There is this common trope in vampire fiction where instead of one possible boyfriend there are two. Captain Dangerous and Sergeant Snuggles. Where Sergeant Snuggles is the perfect boyfriend (he’s understanding, he cares about your feelings and he can probably cook really really well), Captain Dangerous makes the character feel alive (he’s all about take risk, making mistakes, getting messy etc).
