Harper Collins Frenzy | Spring 2019

Last weekend Chelsey and I were lucky to attend our second ever Harper Collins Frenzy Event in Toronto.

This time round the event was a little shorter as the majority of the participants had scored tickets to go see Angie Thomas at the AGO (we sadly didn’t get tickets in time).

After a short game of guess the winter title based on the emoji, the Frenzy Team dove right into the upcoming spring and summer books. And oh boy, there are some really awesome titles headed our way.

Fan the Fame – Anna Priemaza

At the very end of the presentation the Harper Collins team did a quick shout out to some of the books coming out later in the summer and all of them sounded super fun. Extra points to Dear Haiti, Love Alaine for an interesting and fun premise. I can’t wait to pick it up in September.

Then the Frenzy team brought out a game wheel. The premise was simple. Spin the wheel, answer a YA trivia question and get your name added to a basket. At the end of the questions names would be drawn and people could pick prizes. Chelsey managed to convince me to go up where I failed to answer a question about Love Simon… slightly embarrassing. But we both won prizes!

Chelsey won a copy of What if It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. And I hit the jackpot and won the On the Come Up Indigo box!

GET HYPED: The Swag Bags

Have your say!
