Adventures in the Library

I went to the library for the sole purpose of returning The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and The Disaster Artist. With nothing to do an a few hours to kill I decided to browse around a bit.

I left with half of the Teen Section.

Okay that’s a bit of an exaggeration, let’s just say my bag was super heavy.

The damage:

Most of these books have been on my radar for the past few months. Everything but Hamlet & Ophelia. I’m a sucker for adaptations and rewrites of Shakespeare… even when they turn out to be painful to read. Hamlet adaptations seem to be the most popular and the most painful…. Let’s hope this one surprises me.

The Ghost Bride is not teen fiction, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. It’s surprising that one cannot just live on teen fiction alone. I know. Blasphemy.

Alexandra is always looking for the next book she can devour. She has a love hate relationship with teen fiction specifically when it comes to fantasy, post apocalyptic and failed shakespeare adaptations.

Have your say!
