We’re changing Top Five Wednesday up this week. Instead of your usually scheduled book topic we’re doing something a little different. Chelsey and I meet up once a week to film. We spend about four hours recording the videos that we will be releasing over the course of the next few weeks. We have a reward system in place for getting through our scheduled videos. Food is our main reward.
For Top Five Wednesday this week we’re going to give you a look inside what we like to eat during our filming sessions.
GingerReadsLainey is the founder of the Top Five Wednesday Tag. Join the goodreads group to get each week’s topic and participate yourselves!
On the days where we are feeling especially motivated we like to bake. Both Chelsey and I have favourite go to recipes. I’m fond of making Denver Pudding (a lava cake), while Chelsey has a soft spot for baking cookies. Her pick for the day are German Chocolate Cookies.
Warning, the most of this post will contain serious Canadiana, sorry about that.
We don’t go to McDonalds that often and when we do we tend to walk there. It’s the excuse we give to make ourselves feel better. McDonalds is a quick fix for the days when we’re either in a rush or a little low on cash.
3. Swiss Chalet
If you’re not Canadian, you’ve probably never heard of Swiss Chalet. At Swiss Chalet you can get a quarter chicken dinner with your choice of side and a bun for under ten dollars.
Swiss Chalet is famous for their dipping sauce. You will find things to dip in there. Your chicken, fries, your bun, your fingers. Anything. If you’re ordering Swiss Chalet, make sure you order extra sauce.
4. Tim Hortons
Another staple to the Canadian diet. Tim Hortons is famous for it’s timbits (aka donut holes) and coffee. The cardinal rule about Tim Hortons is that if you are going, you first must tell everyone else and ask them if they need anything. Even if the weather is awful.
These are the rules.
5. Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut is our go too. As we were filming this video we were waiting for a pizza to arrive. Our standard order consists of the pan pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and tomatoes and an order of breadsticks with cheese. We are fairly easy to please.
There you have it, a brief look into our personal lives. For all you booktubers and book bloggers what are your favourite snacks or meals that you have before or after filming or posting. Tell us about them in the comments below!
Until next week and next Wednesday, happy reading!
