This is just a general update post on the state of things here at Death of the Author. A lot has been happening in the past few weeks and we figured we should share it with you guys.
CON BRAVO!
As you know, this weekend (July 24-26) is Con Bravo! Chelsey and I are going to be headed there on the Saturday morning. Con Bravo has become a tradition of us and is one of our favourite conventions! We’re going to be running a panel on the Saturday Night on the Best and Worst of Teen Fiction. You should come out and say hello!
I’m also super excited to announce that CHELSEY WLL BE COSPLAYING WITH ME THIS YEAR! We talked about our idea in a previous video, so you may have an idea of what we’re going as. All I can say is I’m super excited and can’t wait!
UPCOMING POSTS AND REVIEWS:
Things have been pretty quiet on our channel and site lately, but that should be changing over the next couple of weeks. We have a lot of content that we’re really excited to share with you guys:
- Dream a Little Dream by Kerstin Gier Review
- RIP it or SHIP it Tag Video
- Horns by Joe Hill Review
- Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant Review
- Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray Review
- Paper Towns Movie Vlog
- The Fifth Heart by Dan Simmons Review
- Through the Woods by Emily Carroll Review
- Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee Review
Most importantly we have a super secret author interview that I’m in the process of finishing up. On top of these reviews, the podcast will return to it’s usual scheduling. Are you excited? I’m excited.
VAMPIRE MONTH… ERRR WEEK
Vampire Month is usually February. Look forward to it at the beginning of August. Which reminds me… some of our favourite vampires are on TV!
THE STRAIN VLOGS
The Strain is one of our favourite shows to talk about in vlogs. We will be covering season two in the same style that we covered season one. Look forward to our usual rants about how much we hate Eph, how much we love Setrakein and how beautiful the shows effects are! Some things never change!
BLIP CLOSURE
Blip.tv was our home when we originally started here at Death of the Author. We’re both heart broken to see it go. Until we find another host we’ll be posting all our videos to youtube. Over the next few weeks I’ll be switching all the blip embeds to youtube embeds. Lucky I keep a copy of all of our videos so we don’t have to worry about losing anything.
But that being said it feels like an end of an era. It was a good run blip.
Now that all of that is out of the way, I hope that everyone’s summers are going well! We look forward to hearing from you.
And as usual:
Happy Reading
